Steve McCabe brings more than 35 years’ experience leading behavioral health facilities that provide high-quality compassionate care to patients across a range of ages and services to his role as Chief Executive Officer of Montevista Hospital. Steve started his career at the bedside, working as a nursing supervisor and nurse manager at a large psychiatric hospital. A seasoned behavioral health executive, Steve has launched a newly constructed residential treatment facility for adolescents and successfully turned around a 200-bed hospital system that served all age groups and the full continuum of care. Steve’s focus on quality customer service and a dedication to meeting the needs of the community has been his driving force throughout his professional life.

Steve holds a B.S. in nursing and an MBA.

Roger Rohall

Chief Financial Officer

Roger Rohall brings nearly 40 years of healthcare financial expertise to his role as Chief Financial Officer of Montevista Hospital. Roger began his career as a financial analyst in an addiction treatment facility and continued to lead psychiatric and behavioral health programs and facilities – including systems as large as 19 locations - for decades after. Most recently, Steve served as the Vice President of Financial Operations at a behavioral health organization in Louisville, KY, where he supported the organization’s growth, opened new services and centers, and managed a variety of services, including inpatient substance use disorder and psychiatric services, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient services, and physician services. Roger is one of the industry’s leading experts in his field, and his passion for the work and those we serve is evident. 

Roger holds a B.S. in Business Administration and an MBA.

Amanda Butler
Amanda Butler
Chief Nursing Officer

Amanda Butler brings more than 20 years of experience in the provision of quality behavioral and mental health care to her role as the Chief Nursing Officer of Montevista Hospital. Amanda began her career as a charge nurse at an 85-bed residential unit and was later promoted to be PRTF Nurse Manager. Amanda’s expertise in implementing and monitoring evidence-based programming and regulatory compliance is evident, as is her passion for providing high-quality nursing care and milieu management. This is clearly reflected in her outstanding track record on patient satisfaction and outcomes data, as well as employee satisfaction and retention. 

Amanda holds a BS and MS in nursing and an MBA.

Nina K. Snipes
Nina K. Snipes
Director of Clinical Operations

Nina K. Snipes has devoted her professional career to serving at-risk children, families and patients. Nina has been instrumental in the provision of care, services and protection to vulnerable populations for nearly three decades, beginning as a child protection worker with the State of Connecticut and most recently serving as the Director of Clinical Services at Desert Parkway Behavioral Healthcare Hospital. Nina recently joined the National Association for Behavioral Healthcare as a member of the Quality Committee and is a respected thought-leader in mental health and clinical matters. Nina worked with Montevista previously, playing a key role in the development of the Residential Treatment Facility as a social worker and later as the Director of Clinical Services and Chief Clinical Officer.

Nina holds an M.S. in Social Work and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.

Kevin P. Filipelli
Kevin P. Filipelli
Director of Quality, Compliance and Risk

Kevin P. Filippelli, has spent his career in human services and behavioral health as a licensed professional counselor and clinical supervisor as well as a quality assurance/performance improvement specialist. Prior to joining Montevista Hospital, he was state  Director of Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement for Nevada Division of Public and Behavioral Health. He oversees Montevista’s Patient Safety Program and Patient Advocacy Program and collaborates with senior leadership in developing department-specific performance improvement metrics included in an annual facility-wide Performance Improvement Plan. Kevin is committed to promoting data-driven decision-making that enables Montevista to provide state-of-the-art, evidence-based treatment that is safe, timely, efficient, effective, equitable and patient-centered.

Kevin holds a B.S. in Family Studies, an M.S. in Clinical Psychology, and is a National Certified Counselor and a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
